2001: The First Steps Toward Internationalization

Nineteen years ago, Dr. Fritz Audebert had a visionary idea that he would take out into the world from Passau, Germany: When companies send their employees abroad, professional expertise alone is not enough. Only those who can understand and empathize with the culture of the new country and can interpret its nuance will be successful in the long term. With ICUnet, he offered companies intercultural know-how, precise analysis tools and comprehensive on-site service by locally experienced consultants.

2006: German Founder’s Prize for ICUnet

After five strenuous years of development, the Passau-based company was awarded the renowned German Founders’ Prize.

2011: 10 Locations Worldwide

Ten years after its founding, around 100 employees accompany more than 1,000 specialists and managers on their way to international tasks each year. Since then, new ICUnet services have been supporting companies in the analysis and selection of qualified employees for international assignments.

2015: First “Rethink Europe” Congress

As a personal project of founder Dr. Fritz Audebert, the first international ICUnet congress was held in 2015 under the motto #rethinkeurope. The annual congress with renowned speakers attracts hundreds respected guests from business and politics to the “City of Three rivers” each year.

2020: Active in over 75 countries

Nineteen years after its founding, ICUnet advises and accompanies organizations through the global assignments of thousands of specialists and executives each year. The heart of ICUnet is the interdisciplinary team of experts consisting of 180 permanent employees and 350 freelancers worldwide. They are present 75 countries, speak 25 languages and enable companies to successfully capture their potential.
